As time wound down for fans to get a last glimse of one of Reggae music’s biggest icon, Gregory Isaacs, news surface that a new album will be launching soon.

Words reaching Urban Islandz ears is that the late Cooler Ruler of Reggae recorded an album “Substance Free” just before his death on October 25 in England.

Substance Free is a 15 track album compiled under Vizion Sounds label.

The album first single is called My Salvation, which the Issacs family has requested to be played during the Thanksgiving Service to be held at the National Indoor Sports Complex tomorrow.

A rep for Gregory Isaacs told Urban Islandz that the album was recorded over a 15 days period, which saw the Cool Ruler records one track each day.

During the recording Isaacs kept his promise to his family to be substance free over the 15 days period.

Before his death on October 25, Gregory commented that the album was his first compilation without a love song.

  1. Substance Free was released in 2005 [Zojak, Vizion Sounds]. The album had a rerelease on iTunes earlier this year. So this article is just mumbo jumbo. Why not use Google before making sure statements?

The last album Gregory Isaacs recorded is to my knowledge Brand New Me.
