Barbadian popstar Rihanna attends the state funeral of the late Prime Minister of Barbados, David Thompson.
Earlier this week Barbadians were growing uneasy after news starts to circulate that RiRi was not going to be attending the funeral.
Rihanna was over come by emotions as she sat amidst the audience at Kensignton Oval, occasionally dabbing at her eyes with a hankie.
Yesterday Urban Islandz told you that Shannon Tavarez, the 11-year-old actress starring in Broadway’s “The Lion King” succumbed to her battle with Leukemia Monday.
Rihanna is also dealing with that loss, as she was one of the stars supporting young Shannon in finding a donor.
On Tuesday Rihanna tweeted: ‘Just got off of a plane ride and got horrible news that our little star Shannon Tavarez has lost her battle against leukemia! Way too soon… keep her family in your prayers.’
