Beenie Man And Fambo “Rum & Redbull” Take Over Charts

Perhaps one of the greatest comeback stories in dancehall this year is Future Fambo.

Fambo known as Future Trouble in the 1990’s dancehall, was missing from the scene for a while. But the deejay has returned with a bang, tearing up charts and flossing rum and redbull all the time.

Fambo collaboration with Beenie Man “Rum & Redbull” is easily one of the biggest songs of the year in dancehall. Since release over the summer, the song has secured a nice portion of the airwaves and has been steadily climbing the charts.

Rum & Redbull now lands at the top of the BBC 1Xtra dancehall charts. An elated Fambo told Jamaican journalists that he is pleased with the response he is getting.

“I couldn’t believe it when I heard that the tune was number one on BBC 1Xtra Reggae chart. All I could do was give thanks and more thanks.” (The Star)

Dancehall deejay Mavado also hold a steady dominance on the charts with 2 songs in the top 5. When Your Feeling Lonely at number 2 and Stulla at number 4. Dancehall new comer Khago Nah Sell Out holds the number 3 spot and Gaza own Vybz Kartel Ft Russian Jeans N Fitted at number 5.
