Veteran femcee Missy Elliot is denying rumors that she was married on wednesday in a secret ceremony.
News hit the net yesterday that the rapper married her longtime partner after a secret engagement overseas. Gossip media sites became a buzz with articles claiming Elliot had a secret ceremony at an unknown location.
Now according to Elliot herself, those reports are completely false.
Missy denied being married on Twitter yesterday after a fan congratulated her on her nuptials saying,
“I’m hearing you got married and I don’t give a f*ck what haters say…I congratulate. I wish u the best…”
To which Missy said,
“No I did not! Do not believe the lies. Ppl who have nothing better to do but talk and tell lies are #Gossip Folks! Do something more productive. Get a life!” (Missy Elliot Twitter)
Missy Elliot who is one of the most successful female rappers, was recently honored with the Visionary Prize at this year’s Black Girls Rock! Awards.
