David Markus, the lawyer for embattled reggae star Buju Banton has reported that Gargamel is experiencing a financial strain from the lengthy trial.
Markus said the first trial which ended last month in a mistrial took a severe financial toll on Banton who has been behind bars since December of last year. Which means for almost a year Buju is unable to do tours or release new music.
In a far reaching gesture to help his cash strap client, Markus has set up a defense fund so that Buju friends and fans can help the artist.
