Trinidad-American rapper Nicki Minaj has stepped forward to clear speculation on whether or not her involvement on nine year-old Roc Nation singer Willow Smith‘s “Whip My Hair” remix is authentic.
Speaking to fans via twitter, Minaj denied putting her vocals on the 9 year old Smith track.
“I did NOT do the whip my hair rmx. Sum1 took an OLD verse and put it on the song. :/ original song was called “lookin at me” a year ago,” she tweeted Wednesday (October 7). (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)
