Reggae singer Buju Banton application for bail will be aired today in Sam M Gibbons federal court in Tampa Florida.
Buju Banton has been locked up in Federal custody for over 10 months now, after he was arrested on December 10th last year for alleged cocaine trafficking.The case have since ended in a mistrial after a hung jury last monday. The new trial is set to begin in December.
Buju Banton is facing a maximum sentence of life imprisonment if convicted on charges of cocaine distribution. The singer could also be fined up to US$4 million.
