Buju Banton “Before The Dawn” Could Be Number One By Next Week iTune

Buju Banton has managed to garner much publicity from his high profile cocaine trial ahead of the released of his latest album “Before The Dawn.”

“Before The Dawn” which hit stores last Tuesday (Sept 28), debut at the number 2 spot on the US iTune Reggae chart, behind Bob Marley’s “Legend.”

An expert in album sales trends told Urban Islandz that Buju ninth album could reach the number one spot next week as sales is projected to picks up as the album drops in the UK and Japan.

“I won’t name a figure for projected sales, but at the rate at which the album is selling, you should see it taking over the top spot in US, Europe and Japan in coming weeks,” the source told Urban Islandz requesting anonymity.

Gyptian album “Hold yuh” is currently holding the number one spot for UK iTune reggae albums. While only clinching on to remain in the top ten in the US at number 9. The late King of reggae Bob Marley “Legend” holds the top spot in at least 16 territories for many weeks now.

Meanwhile, Buju Banton is still in high spirit after a hung jury in his trial on Monday (Sept 27).

“All the songs on this album were written before I and I found I self in this current situation, yet they all speak profoundly to what I and I am going through right now…You might can lock the flesh but you can never lock the spirit of Rasta.”

The new trial is set to begin in December and a bail hearing for October 6th.
