The Kelia Love Charity Project And Funday To Kick Off November 16

The Kelia Love Charity Project hosts the “The Kelia Love Charity Project Tag Drive & Concert” and “The Kelia Love Charity Project Funday”   for Inner-city Youths. See below the statement released to the press from the organization:

The Kelia Love Charity Project will be kicking off The Official “Kelia Love Charity Project Week” from November 16th – November 20th. The Kelia Love Charity Project, in its Inaugural Year, is an initiative of popular Radio and TV Host Kerry-Ann Collins a.k.a ChineyK formerly from Roadblock Radio 90.1Fm in New Jersey. The Kelia Love charity is named after her 8 year old God daughter Akelia Harvey. ChineyK started the charity because of her giving spirit, her love for kids and also the things she saw while visiting the inner-city communities while living in Jamaica.  Kelia Love Charity’s goal is to motivate and give back to the communities and schools in Inner-city, and the project is designed to uplift Jamaica’s Inner- City youth.

The aim of this 1-week programme is to provide social and educational value whilst encouraging social skills and self-confidence, health in participants who range in ages seven to thirteen years old. Beneficiaries are drawn from targeted communities within the Jamaica which include, various Inner-Cities with this Year’s chosen beneficiary being the Allman Town Community.

The specific objectives are to empower children in these communities through social and educational interaction; improve integration with these communities and Corporate Jamaica as well as Agencies specific to the needs of the Inner-city   by positively impacting the lives of youth; and to encourage and stimulate the “Kelia Love Charity Project” appreciate these communities and in their quest to develop a desire and an understanding of the importance of serving humanity.

The Week of activities includes: The Inaugural Launch, The Kelia Love Charity Club Night where Donations of unused and new school supplies and toys will be collected at a popular Night Club, Corporate Tag Drive & Concert which will see over 150 Volunteers from Schools and Universities, service organizations and Foundations collecting Donations with a target of (1) One million Dollars to be dispersed in the form of Grant and bursaries as well as Aid in the Chosen Community and will culminate in a Concert with Artistes endorsing the Charity performing to help raise help for the charity.

The Funday will feature Career Talks ,  Counseling, Leadership, Health, Games  and Safety Instructions ,  etc., and will be delivered by trained professionals from , Various Organizations, Service Clubs, Medical professionals, College/University students, motivational speakers, representatives from the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Jamaica Fire Brigade, Jamaica Defense Force and Corporate Jamaica.

The Kelia Love Charity Project Week is a major undertaking of the Kelia Love Charity Project Foundation and they have accomplished a great deal since its inception.  The Kelia Love Charity Project Week will culminate with an exhibition and handing over ceremony to the chosen beneficiaries.
