Foxy Brown Pleads Not Guilty In NYC Courtroom

Embattled Trinidad-American Rapper Foxy Brown pleaded her innocence in a New York courtroom yesterday after being charged for violating a court order against her Brooklyn neighbor.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, entered the plead Friday to a charge of criminal contempt. She could face up to one year in jail. Prosecutors say Brown violated the order in July by screaming at neighbor Arlene Raymond before bending over, baring her buttocks and showing her underwear while shouting an obscenity. The 31-year-old Brown was issued the order of protection after pleading guilty in 2008 to menacing Raymond with her cell phone.

Friday was Brown’s fourth recent appearance at the courthouse in this case, and in addition to shedding her original seven-person entourage, she also shed her customary teal mid-thigh-length dress for tight beige jeans, a tight beige sweater and a brown leather jacket. Meanwhile, the order of protection was continued, and the case was adjourned until Nov. 16.
