Wayne Marshall Preps “True Colours” Album Produced By Damian Marley

Wayne Marshall is gearing up to release his new album True Colours early next year.

True Colours is the follow-up to Marshall’s 2005 critically acclaim album Marshall In Town. The new album is being produced by Damian “Junior Gong” Marley of Ghetto Youths International.

Wayne Marshall says Damian Marley was the mastermind behind the naming of the album.

“From the beginning of my career I have always used the slang ‘tru tru tru’ so Damian suggested that I call the album True Colours and came up with the concept,” Marshall said. “This album is really a showcase of my true colours as an artiste. So I decided to work with that title.”

Wayne Marshall inked a deal with Ghetto Youths International earlier this year making him one of the newest artists to call the label home. Ghetto Youths International is operated by Damian Marley and his brother Stephen Marley.

“It is my first time doing an album with them and it is amazing. They are talented masters of their art, they put in the effort and they have a tremendous work ethic. I have learnt a lot from them and it is a great experience,” Wayne Marshall said.

“Junior Gong now has his own studio, and this is his first project out of that studio. So it’s amazing being a part of the movement from day one,” Wayne Marshall added.

The 14-track album will features appearances from I-Octane, Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, Damian Marley, Assassin, and Vybz Kartel.

The album is due in stores in January 2013
