Navino Delivers At RJR Cross Country Invasion, Apologise For JOE’s Memorial

Keen on making an indelible mark this year, Dancehall singjay Navino was in top notch form over the weekend.

The emerging star on Friday and Saturday delivered yet another series of commendable performances on as part of the ongoing 2013 RJR Cross Country Invasion. Over the two days the tour made stops in Port Antonio, Golden Grove, Buff Bay, Annotto Bay, Port Maria, Highgate, Manchioneal and Nine Milles Bull Bay. Despite the hectic schedule, that did very little to quell the spirits of the singer and the rest of the entertainment team.

Entering the stage at the various venues, Navino whose given name is Ricardo Fraser was greeted with much fanfare as he belted the chorus to the popular Party Me Seh which was followed by a cadre of other hits including If It’s Not Money, It’s Alright and his breakout single Chillin Time on the award winning Overproof Rhythm; all to the delight of the gathering. Other commendable performances came courtesy of Darrio and guest performers Cherine Anderson and I-Octane.

In a release to the media Navino explained, “it was a great feeling to see the people responding to my music in such a manner. The people showed me a lot of love at every venue so I just fed off their energy and gave them great performances. These are the kind of things that give me the drive to go on.”

He also took the time out to thank the entire RJR Group for the opportunity to be a part of the tour.

The ‘Chillin Time’ singer is currently promoting his latest single ‘It’s Alright’ produced by DJ Frass for which an official video has also been released.

Meanwhile, after being confirmed to perform at the recently held memorial for fellow entertainer JOE, Navino extended his apology to the fans for his absence citing prior professional commitments as the reason.
