XXXTentacion’s murder is nothing to joke about, and one comedian is learning that today.

Comedian Dina Hashem is getting some backlash from the hip hop community today after she did a stand-up session making light of the robbery/murder incident that claimed the life of South Florida rapper XXXTentacion. The 20-year-old rapper has a massive fanbase who are extra protective, and they’re hitting back at her hard today after the video clip from her stand up comedy session went viral. She has yet to respond to the criticism and has since made her IG page private.

“Is anyone still mourning XXXTentacion? she said. She added, “Some of you still thinking about him.” The crowd responded, saying, “Yeah.” Hashem continues, “He’s a rapper who was murdered, he’s dead now. He was shot, he was on his way to buy a car with $50,000 in cash and somebody shot him and took the money. Which is very tragic, but I think also it would be a very good Venmo commercial, you know?”

While some people felt pain and anger over the rapper’s death, Hashem says, “That’s the first thing I thought when I heard that.”

It’s also very unlikely that Venmo would want to use the incident in one of its commercials. The reactions from X fans are pouring in, and most if not all seem to find the video offensive. Comedy Central Stand-Up wrote in the caption, “The death of rapper XXXTentacion was very sad, but @dinahashem_ thinks we can take something away from it.”

“This is more disrespectful than funny. This murdered young black man was also a father and a son, he deserves more respect. Rappers dying are funny now???” James Davis wrote while another person name Kayla wrote, “Congrats you’ve ended your nonexistent career but making fun of someone who will be more famous than you ever will.”

While some members of the audience were laughing, most folks who watched the video thinks that it was not funny at all. “If this was funny I would say “Guys Chill! I love X but y’ all need a realize ITS JUST A JOKE!” But it isn’t funny so,” Benzo wrote while adding some clown emojis.
