Beanie Sigel Arrested On Gun And Drug Charges [DETAILS]

Beanie Sigel was arrested on Wednesday (Aug 29) after a traffic stop on highway I-95 in Philadelphia.

According to reports, the former Roc-A-Fella rapper was detained after state troopers found a gun and prescription pills in his vehicle. Pennsylvania State Troopers pulled over the rapper’s tan Ford Fusion at approximately 3:15 a.m. after observing the vehicle swerving on the highway.

After conducting a search of the vehicle officers found a bottle of codeine syrup with a scratched off label, several prescription pills, $4650 in cash, a small quantity of marijuana. Troopers also found a fully loaded .38-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun.

Sigel, whose real name is Dwight E Grant, and the driver of the vehicle Gerald Andrews of a Philadelphia address were detained and charged.

Beanie Sigel was schedule to turn himself in by September 12th to begin a two year prison sentence on tax charges. This latest arrest could see him spending more time behind bars.
