Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, Sheila E. Tribute Prince AT BET Awards

Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, Sheila E. and several more celebrities paid tribute to Prince at Sunday’s BET Awards.

Badu performed a medley of some of Prince’s classics with Bilal and The Roots. The soul singer rocked some furs with leather pants and beret while singing “Ballad of Dorothy.”

Janelle Monáe also stepped onto the stage to tribute the late pop icon who died in April of a drug overdose. The electric singer performed singles such as “Kiss,” “Pop Life,” and “I Would Die 4 U.”

“I love you Prince!” she said at the end of her electrifying set. Monae ran through several outfit changes while keeping the audience on its feet.

Sheila E. who previously collaborated with Prince also performed a tribute to the late singe. Kicking off her performance with a drum set, Sheila then took to the front of the stage to perform “Housequake” before chiming into “Erotic City.”

Other singers who performed Prince tribute includes Maxwell, Jennifer Hudson, and Tori Kelly.
