Drake ‘Views’ Album Tops Billboard For Sixth Straight Weeks

Drake continues to earn massive success with his new album Views. The Canadian rap star’s latest body of work tops the Billboard 200 Album chart for sixth straight weeks.

Views sold an equivalent 135,000 copies in the last week to earn the top spot on the chart once again. This may not come as a surprise since the album already topped over 1 billion streams.

Drake Album ‘Views’ Reached 1 Billion Streams, Tops Chart Five Weeks Straight

Crunching the numbers, 81,000 units of the 135,000 units sold were made up of album streams equivalent. While 32,000 are pure album sales. The rest is made up of tracks sales equivalent to an album sales.

This is huge news for Drake who became the first male artist to top the Billboard 200 chart for six weeks in the last decade or so. The last male artists to achieve that milestone was 50 Cent and Eminem.

Back in 2005, 50 Cent’s album The Massacre topped the chart for six weeks, while Eminem achieved seven non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 in 2010 with The Eminem Show.
