Bounty Killer Says He And Vybz Kartel Are Dancehall’s Most Influential Artists, Talks Mavado, Aidonia And More

Bounty Killer is standing firm by his recent statement on social media that he and incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel are the two most influential artists in dancehall.

Speaking with Winford Williams on Onstage last weekend, Bounty Killer confirmed that statement and explain why he said that.

“Well I said something like that and it is a fact,” Killer said. “After Ninjaman, I think Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel are the most influential dancehall artists… We are talking about people following your way of life and your way of thinking. I am not just talking about artists being influential with music.”

The dancehall legend also spoke about bringing several new young acts to the forefront of dancehall, saying that Vybz Kartel also did the same thing.

“After Bounty who came and bring how much young acts, which other artist you can point to and say has a similar background to that, it has to be Kartel and his Portmore Empire,” Killer added.

Bounty Killer also spoke about his fallout with Mavado and the shooting incident at his birthday party.

He also opened up about Aidonia statement on Kartel and some recent controversies with Tony Matterhorn.
