Sean Paul Thrills Moroccan Massive, Heads To Tampa Bay Carnival

Sean Paul showed great respect for the people of Morocco when he donned the stage at Mawazine International Music Festival in a Moroccan shirt and the fans showed him love in return.

The Jamaican Reggae superstar delivered a blistering 90 minute performance at the Olm Souissi on Sunday, May 31 to an interactive crowd of over ten thousand. Global hits like Temperature, We Be Burnin’ and She Doesn’t Mind were met with screams of delight. Slower Jams like I’m Still In Love and Punkie were met with hands in the air and foundation tracks like Get Busy and Gimmi Di Light saw fans jumping into the air.

Backed by his own Baddabandz band, Sean Paul engaged the crowd on every level. He sang he danced and he talked to the crowd about his experiences in Morocco; having visited the sites, the market and the local restaurants in the time leading up to the performance.

Much to the delight of his fans, Sean Paul delivered in his promise made at the official festival press conference; he performed new music from his own Dutty Rock Productions label.

Closing the show dropped in a Moroccan national flag, Sean Paul took a moment to take a photo with fans in attendance before receiving a thank you bouquet from the festival organizers. It was a fitting end to Sean Paul’s second visit to the African nation.

On the heels of his Moroccan performance, the megastar will jet off to Florida to perform at the Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival on Sunday, June 7 before returning home for his Full Speed Riddim Tour.

Being his third production from his Dutty Rock Label, Sean Paul is slated to appear at Margaritaville Ocho Rios and Negril in the coming weeks as part of his Full Speed Riddim promotions.
