I-Octane management has issued a statement severing ties with LiveJam Entertainment.

In a statement sent to Urban Islandz, I-Octane, real name Byiome Muir, says the Barcelona based company is not responsible for his bookings.

“All bookings must be done through Khool International Agency and or I-Octane’s manager, Ray Alexander,” I-Octane management team stated in the release.

The fallout came after LiveJam booked I-Octane for two concerts in Europe this summer. The Reggae Geel 2014 in Belgium on August 2 and Reggae Jam in Germany the following day.

I-Octane says the booking placed him in a tough position but he will be honoring his contractual agreements.

“We have a tremendous amount of respect for the fans and the promoters, therefore, we have no choice but to honour the agreement, even though it means that we will be out of pocket,” the statement continues. “We know that in music business, there is always the positive and the negative, and we therefore embrace this challenge and move on. It’s all part of the journey.”

I-Octane will be closing Reggae Sumfest dancehall on Thursday in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
