Cops says they wanted to question The-Dream after his ex-girlfriend Lydia Nam filed a police report that he assaulted her in April 2013.

Nam told officers that The-Dream strangled, kicked and punched her while she was pregnant. She only reported the incident 7 months after it allegedly took place.

The-Dream was charged with 2 felonies as well as 3 misdemeanors assault, reckless endangerment, and child endangerment.

The producer is denying the allegation saying Nam, who is a Canadian citizen, is lying so she can stay in the United States.
