Vybz Kartel Back In Court Today For Day 26 Of Murder Trial
Vybz Kartel and his co-accused are back in court for day 26 of their trial.
The high profile murder trial resumes today, January 6, in the Home Circuit court in Kingston after a two-week break for the holiday.
Justice Lennox Campbell has asked jurors to return to court tomorrow. Therefore, the long behind closed door testimony of former head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Cybercrime Unit, Patrick Linton, is expected to be wrapped up today.
Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, is on trial for the alleged murder of dancer Clive “Lizard” Williams. The dancehall star is jointly charged with Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams.
According to authorities, the accused men beat Clive Williams to death on August 16 at a house in Havendale, St. Andrew.
Cops say he was murdered over a missing firearm believed to be belonging to Vybz Kartel.
Williams body was never found.
