Vybz Kartel Trial Day 4 Adjourned More Testimony From Police & Victim Sister

Day four of Vybz Kartel’s trial adjourned on Thursday evening in the Home Circuit court in Kingston.

Today’s precedings saw the cross examination by Clive Williams’, the victim in the case, sister.

Superintendent of police Cornwall Ford took the witness stand and recount what happened on the day Vybz Kartel was arrested on September 30, 2011.

Ford told the court that he took four cellphones from Vybz Kartel and handed them over to another police officer.

Deputy Superintendent of police Winston Henderson also took the witness stand he was instructed by Superintendent Cornwall Ford to assemble a team of law enforcement officials and get a warrant to search Vybz Kartel’s upscale home in Norbrook.

Henderson says they found 12 passports in various names along with 10 cellphones. He told the court that when they went to the home in Havendale it was burnt down. He said they also did another raid on another home in Portmore but nothing was found.

Initial reports at the time of Vybz Kartel’s arrest claimed that police seized a number of equipments including laptops from one of the home they believed belong to the dancehall star.

This morning, a forensic investigator told the court that he found blood stain in the home in Havendale where Clive “Lizard” Williams was allegedly murdered.

Williams’ sister, who was cross examined by the defense this morning, told the court that her brother was previously charged with illegal possession of a firearm and shooting with intent. She broke down in tears as she answered questions from Vybz Kartel attorneys.
