After kicking off her Diamonds World tour on March 8th in Bufalo, New York, laryngitis forced Rihanna to cancel her tour stop in Boston.
But Rihanna recovered just in time for her sold out shows Philadelphia last Thursday (March 14), and at the XL Center Hartford on Friday.
The Bajan pop star appeared to be well rested and her voice was flawless.
Rihanna kicked things off with her single “Mother Mary” off her number one selling album Unapologetic. Just moments before 10 p.m. the lights went out in the arena and 16,000 strong Rihanna fans pierce the darkness with deafening screams and thunderous roars.
When the lights slowly came back on it was a stunning Rihanna on the stage looking like she came to party.
Rihanna later went into a medley of her biggest hit songs and she has a lot. By the end of her set she would have gone through almost 30 singles and all of them are hit songs.
A$AP Rocky, who opened the show for Rihanna, also delivered a solid set with songs from his number one selling debut album “Long Live A$AP.”
