Dancehall star Mavado released the long awaited video for his single “Take It,” featuring his new artist Karian Sang.
Mavado premiered the video yesterday via Billboard. The single has been garnering a lot of attention since its release in December.
The dancehall love ballad was produced by Troy “Troyton” Hinds and Michael “Askhell” Fairman for Troyton Music.
The single has already topped dancehall charts in England and Canada, and is also doing very well across Europe, The United States and the wider Caribbean.
“We have spent a lot of time building Mavado’s brand and profile in the mainstream and we think he is more popular than ever,” Mavado’s manager Julian Jones-Griffith said. “‘Take It’ is perfect because it has a wide appeal for the large audience at his beckoning.”
Karian Sang, a Jamaican-Canadian songstress, is the first artist to be signed to Mavado’s label Mansion Records.
