The rap mogul and his wife Beyonce spent last weekend lending their star power to the season opener for the Brooklyn Nets and sending their prayers to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The Watch The Throne rapper sent out a personal message via his website Life + Times to the people affected by Hurricane Sandy last week.
“Reflecting on the first game in Brooklyn and thinking about the hurricane.
Thinking about being undefeated and all the losses/wins that lie ahead. Life will always throw adversity and tragedy at us. We remain resilient!
Heartfelt prayers go out to those who lost their lives and to the families who continue the fight.”
Beyonce also urged everyone to give a helping hand to the victims of the storm in a message posted on her personal website.
Hurricane Sandy ravage parts of the Caribbean before moving up to the United States Eastern Seaboard to hit New Jersey and New York hard.
The storm claimed more than a hundred lives and left a trail of destruction in its path.
