Kendrick Lamar Responds To Shyne Criticism Of His Album

West Coast rap newcomer Kendrick Lamar has stepped forward to address criticism from Shyne on his debut album Good Kid m.A.A.D. City.

Last week the former Bad Boy rapper took to Twitter to bash KDOT’s album calling it “trash.”

A few other rappers on the West Coast including Game have since jumped to the defense of their fellow West Coast emcee.

Shyne Calls Kendrick Lamar’s Album Trash, Game Diss Shyne

Speaking with HipHopWired, Kendrick Lamar says he does not take offense to Shyne’s comments.

“It’s really no response [to him],” Lamar says.

“I’m not a sensitive guy, so that’s his opinion. Can’t stop what the world thinks, so yeah, that’s him,” he added.

The album is expected to sell more than 200,000 copies in its first week of release putting it at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.

“It feels great, lets me know that people still wanna’ hear good music, real music,” the Compton rapper says. Music that has a connection, rather than just one artist, or one record on the radio.”

Do you think Shyne is just hating or do you think his opinion on the album is right?
