Young Money rapper Drake has finally graduate high school as part of keeping a longtime promise to his mom.
The rapper/singer/actor dropped out of high school at the age of 15 to pursue a budding acting career on the teenage TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Earlier this year Drizzy revealed that he will be going back to high school to get his GED, This summer the 25-year-old laid low to focus on his education and now he finally graduate.
“I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school,” Drake said in an interview over the summer. “That’s my main focus after OVO Fest. I only have one credit left, and I’m really excited about that.”
Drake announced his graduation on Twitter earlier today while giving praise to his teacher Kim Janzen.
“97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!,” Drake tweeted
“Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!! OVO SOUND,” he added on Twitter.
Too bad some other rappers and dancehall deejays don’t value education this much.
