The 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards Performances T.I., Future, Rick Ross, Diddy,

The infamous Rick Ross and Young Jeezy beef backstage the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards was the most talked about event of the show.

However, the performances got almost equal attention. Taylor Gang leader Wiz Khalifa kicked off the show with Young Jeezy and Juicy J, performing “Work Hard, Play Hard (Remix).”

Maybach Music Group rapper Meek Mill also sets the stage blazing with an early performance of his single “Amen,” before performing “Young & Getting It,” featuring Kirko Bangz off his album Dreams And Nightmares.

West Coast rapper Kendrick Lamar was crowned lyricist of the year.

Among some notable performances were from T.I., Future, Rick Ross, Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly, Diddy, and more.

A whole segment was also dedicated to the late Chris Lighty, lead by 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Bust Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest, and Missy Elliot.
