Usain Bolt Is A Legend, Wins Gold At London Olympic [Video]

Usain St. Leo Bolt, OJ, C.D. is officially a legend. The man from Trelawny won gold in the 2012 Olympic mens 100 meter finals in London yesterday (July 5th).

With 9.63 seconds on the clock, Usain Bolt set a new Olympic record with the second fastest time in history.

Bolt’s training partner Yohan Blake won silver to provide the icing on the cake for Jamaican sprinting. Blake clocked a personal best of 9.75 seconds to edge out the American Justin Gatlin who won bronze.

Usain Bolt kicks off his 200 meter campaign tomorrow (July 7th), going in as the hot favourite to take home gold for Jamaica and defend his title.

Bolt came under pressure last month from rival and training partner Yohan Blake who beat him in the Jamaican trials twice.

“Yohan gave me a wakeup call,” Bolt said. “I had to show the world I’m the greatest.”

Bolt will also compete in the 4X100 meter relay and is also rumored to be competing in the 4X400 meter relay for Jamaica.
