Last Friday West Coast rap icon Snoop Dogg announced his new alter ego, Snoop Lion, and drop his first reggae single “La La La,” off his upcoming reggae album Reincarnated.

The Major Lazer-produced single features Snoop Lion deejaying over a traditional reggae beat, with singer Jovi Rockwell providing some vocals. Snoop laid back vibe on the track reminds you of some of Bob Marley’s classics.

Earlier this year Diplo of Major Lazer announced that he is working with Snoop Dogg on an all reggae album.

“Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he’s bigger than the music,” Diplo said. “What we’re doing is a reggae record. It’s like Snoop Dogg and Major Lazer together. It’s all reggae and he’s singing and he’s doing a f*-king awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song.”
