Vybz Kartel Preliminary Inquiry On Hold

The preliminary inquiry against embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel failed to get off the ground on Friday (Feb 3) in the Gun Court.

According to reports, the Gun Court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions has not reached a decision whether or not to transfer the case to the Home Circuit Court.

The “Cake Soap” deejay and his co-accused was remanded until February 24.

Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, was charged jointly with Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald late last year for the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Burton, a St. Catherine promoter and businessman.

Burton was shot dead in July last year while standing with friends in the Gregory Park area of St Catherine.

Vybz Kartel, who was arrested in September of last year, is also on trial for the murder of alleged gang member Clive “Lizard” Williams.

Investigators said Lizard was beaten and killed in Havendale last August by Vybz Kartel and other men including protege Shawn Storm. His body has not yet being found.

as we all know vybz (the world boss) kartel did not commit the crime so the govt must charge kartel with the many videos and songs he has rather than crime.
