Common Says Drake Beef Will End, Address Beef In New Freestyle

Common and Drake ongoing beef could be coming to an end sooner than later.

Late last week, the Chi Town rapper was on Hot 107.9 Philly, where he discuss the lyrical battle.

Common stuck to his story of the original song, “Sweet,” which is on The Dreamer, The Believer album, not being a diss song. He says this:

“The song ‘Sweet,’ he could probably look at certain things about it and say, ‘Man, I may sound like that. It may fit me or it may not.’ It’s up to that person to say I’m going to address it or not. I never was like ‘Yo, this is about Drake.’ That’s not what I was feeling and if it was about him I would have said it.”

Common also said he thinks the beef will all soon die out.

“Yeah, I believe so. Right now for me it’s just fun. I’m not taking this too seriously. It’s like you said some things to me and I’m going to let you know what it is.”

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Common also said he thinks Drake makes good music.

“I think he makes good music,” Common said of the Canadian MC. “He’s definitely said some real clever things and made some cool songs. I like his music.”

The veteran rapper/actor also address the beef in a freestyle in Atlanta last week.
