Reggae veteran singer Diana King new album AgirLnaMeKING is now in stores.
The “Shy Guy” hitmaker is upbeat about the album, dubbing it her first production.
“The whole album was written and produced by myself, so am very exited about that and I think it is perfect that it came out on my birthday on November 8,” Said King in a recent interview.
Diana King, who was recently diagnosed with sclerosis, said there will only be one feature on the album from an Indian singer/songwriter.
The 13 track album was released on her own record label ThinkLikeAgirL Music and her latest work is set to give her fans and music lovers an insight into her life and her contemporary yet deep-rooted Jamaican style.
“I have always believed in staying true to myself, as an artist and as a person, these new songs are ‘imperfectly perfect’ and they take you on a musical journey and show my versatility” King said via a press release.
King compares herself to a long distance runner and said AgirLnaMeKING is her ‘second wind’
“I know it’s been a long time since my last album and it’s been challenging to say the least, but I appreciate your patience and I am humbled by your loyalty, because there’s no me without you,” King said to her fans.
