Mad Cobra Preps Cultural Album

Veteran dancehall deejay Mad Cobra is prepping fans for the release of his upcoming album The Other Side of the Coin.

The Other Side of the Coin will be Cobra’s 15th studio album and his first culturally themed LP.

The deejay said he wanted to show his fans that he is not always hardcore. “It was our intention to show the calm side because they brand me as a rude boy, this album is cultural and fun,” he said.

The 20 track LP will see collaborations from Gramps Morgan, Gyptian, Big Beast and veteran singer Ronnie Thwaites on a remix of the 90s classic “Rain A Fall.”

The Other Side of the Coin is produced by Mikey Steer, Flava Squad, Walk Way 30, Jerome Phoenix and Black Shadow and will be distributed by Cobra and City Lock which is a German-based distribution company.

Cobra said he is putting in some finishing touch in anticipation for a September release.

“We are currently fine tuning everything but it is already completed,” he said.
