Reggae/dancehall veteran Capleton gave his Canadian fans a solid performance last weekend despite pressures from gay rights groups.

Due to the protest, organizers of the show moved the Canada Day concert from the original venue in downtown Toronto — which was hosting pride week activities.

The concert was originally scheduled for the Sound Academy in Toronto, but had to be relocated after the mangements of the venue was contacted by a leading gay rights advocacy group in Canada, which had also alerted the hate crimes unit of the Toronto police.

Despite the setbacks, the Fire Man leave fans and the promoters satisfied. Peep some footage below.
