URBAN ISLANDZ NEWS: Jay-Z’s recent visit to the Kentucky Wildcats locker room may seems like an harmless gesture, but the Hip Hip mogul’s visit has started an investigation.
On Sunday March 27th the Kentucky Wildcats defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels in an Elite Eight match up between two legendary programs. Following the win at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Jay-Z visited the locker room to congratulate the winning team.
The rapper Jay-Z can visit the locker room without any problem, but Shawn Carter, Jay-Z’s real name, is forbidden to be in contact with the players because of his shares in the New Jersey Nets.
NBA personnel are prohibited from being in contact with amateur players until they have declared for the draft. The high-powered Wildcats have a likely pair of lottery picks on their roster as well.
Based on past infractions around the league, Jay-Z will likely face a small fine.
