Dancehall Hero Vybz Kartel new skin tone has been the center of attention in and out the inner circles of dancehall and the media.

Although Vybz Kartel has so far stood firmly behind his decision to bleach his skin, fans and fellow artists alike flag the deejay non-stop.

The “Cake Soap” deejay has now declared that he will not be doing anymore interviews or entertain arguments regarding bleaching. According to the Star, Vybz Kartel said, “it is my prerogative.”

“I Adidja Palmer am stating to the public that I will no longer entertain in interviews, discussion of my skin tone. It is a personal decision that I have made in my life and more importantly, it is my prerogative. I am a phenomenal entertainer and an entrepreneur and as such, there are too many facets for the main topic to be my skin tone and what I do in my private time. Enough already, circus dun!”

In several recent interviews Vybz Kartel said his decision to bleach is his personal business and that he lives on a thin line of controversy. Thus when he does something controversial it should come as no surprise.

Vybz also attribute his bleaching to his obsession with tattoos, as lightening the skin would make them more visible.
