Shena Moulton One Of The Most Sought After Models Of 2011

. ..

Jamaica’s own Shena Moulton is proving to be a force in the global model industry with a slew of high profile gigs to end last year, and much more for 2011.

The Saint International model makes it to the top of the list for fashion’s most selective power brokers for the new year.

“Oscar De La Renta and his stylist Alex White totally adored Shena and requested her for the pre-fall collections this month and we couldn’t say no,” said an excited Deiwght Peters.

Since her debut on the model scene some 3 years ago, Shena has become the darling of the fashion world.

According to a Gleaner report, Shena walked into the history books last year when she walked for the iconic and ‘star-making’ brand of Calvin Klein for three consecutive seasons as the only black model.

“Shena’s star has been steadily rising from her discovery two short years ago. We are proud of her display of style and maturity on the global stage representing Jamaica well,” said Peters told the Gleaner in an interview.

Peters discorvered Shena Moulton at Penwood High School on an RJR Radiocation Tour in 2008 and has been her manager and mentor since then.

Moulton won the Fashion Face of the Caribbean contest from a competitive batch, when she created history as the youngest contestant to win a regional model contest and earn an international contract on the spot.

Moulton earned herself representation from some of the world’s top agencies, including Elite Paris, Models 1 London, Elite Milan and Uno Barcelona. She walked for some of the world’s most iconic fashion brands, including Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Dries Van Noten, Thakoon, Christian Dior, Rochas, Sonia Rykiel, Tommy Hilfiger, Top Shop, Nicole Fahri, Jaeger, Max Mara, Jil Sander and many others.

Peters hinted that a major international brand wants to shoot Moulton for its 2011 international campaign but was tight-lipped when questioned about the identity of the brand.
