Ikaya is one of many fast rising dancehall artists that are bursting with talent worthy of recognition.
Ikaya hit single “Hard Way” paints a picture of an artist who is not only talented in singing but equally at writing lyrics.
In press release to the media last week, Ikaya said that consistent work is the main ingredient to her success
“Over the last month, I have been busy as a bee making the rounds locally and overseas. I recognise that consistent work is the main ingredient for success in the entertainment business, and I am prepared to do whatever it takes.”
She is reported to have done interviews on popular radio stations Irie Jam and Hot 97 in New York as well as met with other radio personalities in Toronto, Canada. “It was a very hectic time, but I enjoyed every minute of it,” Ikaya said.
Ikaya also said she has been meeting new people in the industry and learning along the way.
“I learnt a lot and met some very interesting people who have been doing their part behind the scenes in the development of my career. I truly am thankful for them, and the work they have put in. I feel truly blessed.”
