Rumor: Sean Kingston No Show At YOG Due To Passport Mix-up

Reggae pop singer Sean Kingston was a no-show at the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Singapore last Saturday.

Rumors are mounting that the singer no show was as a result of some embarrassing mix-up with his passport. Kingston, along with his four co-singers – Steve Appleton, Jody Williams, Jessica Mauboy and Tabitha Nauser – were suppose to sing the theme song at the opening ceremony on Saturday, but instead only the co-singers did the song.

Vice-president of global marketing at Sony Music Asia, Mr Andrew Jones said when interviewed, “The delay was caused by a passport mix-up and we strongly refute speculation…that Sean Kingston’s absence was to do with fees.”

Kingston took to his twitter page over the weekend and tweeted:

“This music industry is all business but I refuse to let my Singapore fans suffer. I love u all and trust me being a part of the YOG meant a lot,” he tweeted.

He added: “I sincerely apologise to all the fans who were expecting to see me… I will try my best to make it up to you all as soon as possible.”

Seems fishy don’t it….
